"Arthur, I need your help," said the Cat. "Those creatures out there work for Lady Eris and she's up to something. Something the village won't survive. Okay, yes, she's terrifying and, sure, she'll send those Yarnbulls to chop us up into little, tiny pieces if she figures out we're onto her. And, of course, flying a pirate ship can be a bit tricky if you've never done it before. But think of the adventure! After all, it's not every day you follow a talking cat out of a window, is it?"

Trust Me, I'm a Book Launch
So how did the book launch go?
Brilliantly! It all started with a very polite young boy named Seb whose excellent manners and infectious enthusiasm for reading set the tone for an extremely enjoyable day! There was a steady stream of visitors over the course of the four hours between 10am and 2pm. There were children I'd met before when visiting various schools as well as others I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time. Judging by the interest taken by everyone who visited, I think it's safe to say that Arthur, Teresa, the Professor, Lake and Ajo will have lots more friends accompanying them on their future adventures! (Which is a good thing because I've started writing the next book and believe me, they're going to need all the help they can get...)
What kind of stuff did you get up to?
Competitions! That's what! Everyone who visited had the chance to enter two separate competitions. First, there was the World Famous Fiendish 88Tales word search. Anyone who could find all 10 hidden words got their name entered into a draw to win a fantastic prize... to have a character in the next Arilon Chronicles book named after them! (By the way, that competition runs until 1st December so check back here in the next few days for a chance to download the wordsearch and join in!)
Anything else?
Of course. The other competition! I did say there were two competitions, remember that part?
Oh yeah, sorry. You're right.
I know I'm right. Can I continue please?
Yes, of course.
Thank you. So, the other competition was a draw to win an original pencil drawing I did of the Professor, Lake and Ajo from 'Trust Me, I'm a Thief'.
Each person who came along was also entered into the prize draw for this picture and the winner of that draw is going to find out via email very soon that they are the brand new owners of this (let's face it) fantastic piece of original artwork!
Sounds like a great time was had by all. What now?
Now, I get my head down and start writing 'Teresa Smith and the Queen's Revenge'. I can't say much about it right now - except that Arthur and Teresa are going to be seeing way more of the Queen's magic, powers, minions and secrets than they were counting on. Luckily, they have the Cat on their side. Assuming he really is on their side...
Oh, oh, before you go... where can we get the book?
Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me! You can get it via www.88tales.com or www.thebookcase.co.uk or go directly to http://www.nottinghambooks.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2100
Seeya!
